It is episodes like this that make me wish I'd DVR'd the whole season and then just watched them all on a Saturday when it concludes. This is going to be a really long week, waiting until Sunday for the next show. I don't think I have been so anxious for the next show like this all season. I mean, I am anxious, but I had a million thoughts of the show racing through my head until I finally went to sleep around 1:30 my time.
I am glad they didn't use Hank or Jane's Dad (I didn't think they would use Jane's dad) as the 20 year distributor. I like that they used that chicken franchise owner. It just makes you think about how some (not all of course) rich people go from rags to riches. I mean, how did he fund opening each of his new 14 restaurants? One would think that he used the profit from one to open the next, but he certainly may have fast tracked his business growth with this side distributorship. I like it. I mean, I don't like what he is doing, but I like where that part of the story is going. It just makes me think about how much of this kind of thing is going on in the real world. You know, sometimes when you meet a person that seems a certain way and you think, "oh wow, he is gay?" or "oh wow, I cannot believe the boss smokes pot?" or "I didn't know he had six kids," or "I didn't know she was 16, I thought she looked 30." And of course, "I didn't know he ran a huge distribution network of drugs, I thought he just owned 14 chicken joints." Amazing.... I'll bet this happens more often than we think. Things are not always as they appear. What a GREAT cover for a business too.
The Jesse floating scene after the high was great. Right up there with drug scenes from Trainspotting, A clockwork orange, Requiem for a Dream, and others. Oh, and of course The Big Lebowski. Admittedly, scenes like that glamorize the drugs. But the good news is most of us see more than just that trippy scene. Most of us will see the dark side of drugs. Hey kiddies, did you see how Jesse didn't even hear his business partner knocking down the door? He was glued to the bed, dead to the world. He almost fucked up the plan.
Skyler having the baby and not being able to get a hold of Walt while he is selling $1.2 million in Meth is no surprise. How will he explain that one away. Let me guess, Ted takes her to the hospital and is there for her the whole time. He is going to have to go the puking his guts out sick route. He really has no other choice.
I'm sure the deal will go down. First they had product they couldn't get rid of, now they have the money and he is going to be angry with Jesse still and say he is cutting him out and that takes us to where Jane threatens him. Stupid Jesse, telling Jane all about him being a teacher and all. You know that is the drugs talking.
My prediction- they are setting it up to look like Jesse is out. I mean, after next week's preview of that slut Jane blackmailing Walt on the phone while Jesse is just sitting there letting her talk to Walt. That will make Walt want Jesse's head! Is that Jesse and Jane in the body bags? I don't think so. I think that Jesse will come through for Walt in the end. I think they may have to kill Jane. I think Jesse may kill Jane. He should kill her. That blackmail is messed up. But maybe that is our cliffhanger. We won't find out until S3E1 what Jesse decided. I think he will make the right choice (for the show) and kill Jane and not fuck Walt over. Walt will come around with Jesse.
One key thing, when the 20 year distributor was talking to Walt he made it a point that you can never trust a junkie (Jesse) and said they are untrustworthy. That is what they want us to think of the relationship between Jesse and Walt. But notice Walt said, "Jesse does what I say" and "I trust him." He knows Jesse will come through for him.
Either that or Aaron Paul wanted off the show and they are writing him out, haha.... but I don't see that happening.
Goodbye Jane. I will be nothing but happy to stop hearing about you every week and how sexy you are in your underwear. This is the non-sex show. Get off my TV!
